Sociograss is a bluegrass, oldtime and American roots band that I formed with friends and colleagues back in 2018. Come together under our shared love of Appalacian folk music we seek to infuse our own unique musical character into the sound we produce. 

Not strictly a bluegrass band, we play a variety of bluegrass and blugrass adjacent genres bringing in elements of oldtime, swing, early jazz and country whilst always applying the bluegrass sensibilities of passing solos and soulfully layered vocal harmonies. 

We have toured the UK and Europe (notably Poland) and are a well known around the Scottish acoustic music scene.

In 2024 we released the album "Made It All Up" and are looking towards further recording projects next year.
